I graduated from Paul Pewitt High school and then became a Hairdresser until I decided to go back to college and become a teacher. It was not until I was married and had children that I decided to return to school and tackle my teaching degree and my calling. I completed my degree locally through Texas A&M University- Texarkana. 

This school year will be my 12^th year in teaching. I am proud to say that I have spent all of those years here at Chapel Hill. I started out teaching 6^th grade Reading and Social Studies and then made the transition to third grade where I remain today. Math and Science are the subjects that I am currently teaching. 

My favorite things to do when I am not at school would have to be spending time with my family. They keep me really busy these days. I am thankful they enjoy having their parents with them still. My daughter competes in youth rodeos and barrel races. This has been a passion of hers since she was a little girl which makes it one of my favorite things to watch. My other hobbies are camping, fishing, swimming and just about anything that has to do with the outdoors. Anytime I can be outside is a great day.
